Journey to the West Chapter 32 Lady Whitebone
《西游记》第三十二章：白骨精
Lady Whitebone sat by the road and sniffed the air again.
白骨精坐在路边，又在空气里闻了闻。
"The Tang Monk has some powerful companions," she said.
“唐僧有些很厉害的同伴。” 她说，
"I need a disguise."Bajie dropped the bags. "I'm tired and hungry. Let's stop for lunch."
“我得伪装一下。”八戒扔下了行李。“我累了，也饿了。我们停下吃午饭吧。”
Using his clairvoyance, Wukong saw a peach orchard thousands of miles away.
悟空用他的千里眼看到了千里之外的一片桃林。
"I'll be back in a minute," he said.
“我一会儿就回来。” 他说。
Soon after the monkey had left, a young woman came down the road. She held out a bowl.
悟空离开了没一会儿，一个年轻的女人向他们走了过来。她把一只碗递了过来。
"Are you the Tang Monk?" she asked. "I have food for you."
“您是唐僧吗？” 她问，“我有食物给您。”
Bajie reached for the bowl. "Thank you!"
八戒拿过了那个碗：“谢谢你！”
"Don't eat that!" Wukong was flying fast, back to the group.
“别吃！” 悟空飞快地飞了回来。
He dropped all the peaches and pulled out his iron bar. Wham! He struck at the young woman.
他把桃子扔在了地上，拿出了金箍棒。嘣！他朝着那个年轻女子打过去。
But before he hit her, she disappeared. "Why did you do that?" cried the Tang Monk.
他还没打到那个女子，她就不见了。“你为什么要这么做？” 唐僧大叫。
"You're a human, Master," said Wukong.
“你是人，师父。” 悟空说，
"You couldn't see that the woman was really a spirit who wanted to harm you. Unfortunately she got away."
“你看不出来那个女的其实是个妖精，她想要伤害你。可惜，让她逃走了。”
"Why are you so cruel?" asked the monk. "She was giving us food."
“你为什么这么残忍？” 唐僧问，“她正要给我们食物。”
"It's not food," said the monkey.
“那不是食物。” 悟空说，
"See?" He held up the bowl, which was filled with worms.
“看到了吗？” 他举起了那个碗，里面都是虫子。
"Don't believe Wukong," said Bajie. "He used magic to turn the food into worms."
“别相信悟空。” 八戒说，“他用法术把食物变成了虫子。”
The pig looked at the ground where the woman had been and shook his head.
八戒看着那个女子原来站着的地方，摇摇头。
"Wukong hit her so hard, there isn't anything left of her."
“悟空打得太重了，她什么都没有了。”
"That's ridiculous," said Wukong. "I—ahh!"
“这简直太可笑了！” 悟空说，“我......啊啊！”
The monkey rolled on the ground as the Tang Monk recited the Tight Headband spell.
唐僧念起了紧箍咒，悟空在地上滚来滚去。
Bajie laughed. "I didn't know you could do that, Master."
八戒大笑：“我不知道你会这个啊，师父。”
Just then an old woman came down the road. The monk stopped reciting the spell, and Wukong stood up.
就在这个时候，一个老婆婆向他们走了过来。唐僧停止了念咒，悟空站了起来。
"I'm looking for my daughter," said the woman.
“我在找我的女儿。” 老婆婆说，
"She was bringing food to the Tang Monk."
“她给唐僧拿吃的来了。”
"Oh no," said the Tang Monk. Bajie stepped forward.
“哎呀！” 唐僧说。八戒跨步向前：
"You should ask this monkey what happened to your daughter."
“你应该问那只猴子你的女儿出了什么事。”
Wukong looked at the old woman closely for a moment.
悟空近距离地看了那个老婆婆一会儿，
Then he took out his iron bar and swung. But again he missed.
然后他拿出了金箍棒打过去，但他又打偏了。
"She got away again!" cried Wukong.
“她又跑了！” 悟空大叫。
"He killed another innocent person!" cried the pig. "Master, recite the spell!"
“他又杀了一个无辜的人！” 八戒大叫，“师父，快念咒！”
The Tang Monk recited the spell again. Wukong fell to the ground in pain.
唐僧又开始念紧箍咒。悟空痛苦地倒在了地上。
"Please stop!" cried the monkey. The Tang Monk stopped.
“请停下吧！” 悟空大叫。唐僧停止了念咒。
"Don't hurt any more people," he said. "If you do, I'll recite the spell until your head explodes."
“不要再伤害任何人了。” 他说，“如果你再伤人，我就念咒念到你的脑袋爆炸。”
Just then an old man came down the road."I'm looking for my wife and daughter," he said.
这时，路上又来了一个老大爷。“我在找我的妻子和女儿。” 他说。
"That's the evil spirit woman again," thought Wukong.
“又是那个女妖精。” 悟空想，
"If I don't destroy her, she'll harm the Tang Monk. But if I do hurt her, the monk will make my head explode."
“如果我不打死她，她就会伤害唐僧。但如果我伤了她，唐僧就会让我的脑袋爆炸。”
Wukong sighed. "I must protect the Tang Monk, no matter what," he thought.
悟空叹了口气。“我必须保护唐僧，不管发生什么事情。” 他想。
Wukong whipped out his iron bar and swung. There was a puff of smoke.
悟空拿出了金箍棒打了过去。一阵烟雾飘过。
When the smoke cleared, a skeleton lay on the ground.
当烟雾散去的时候，地上躺了一具白骨。
"I got her!" cried Wukong. "See? She was an evil skeleton spirit!"
“我打中她了！” 悟空大叫，“看到了吗？她就是个白骨精！”
The Tang Monk frowned. "Recite the spell again," Bajie said to the monk.
唐僧皱眉。“再念咒吧！” 八戒对唐僧说。
"I want you to leave, Wukong," said the Tang Monk.
“我希望你离开，悟空。” 唐僧说。
"Master," said the monkey. "I just saved your life."
“师父。” 悟空说，“我刚刚救了你的命呀。”
"I don't believe you," said the monk. "Now leave or I'll recite the spell again."
“我不相信你。” 唐僧说，“你现在就走，要不我就要念紧箍咒了。”
Wukong became angry. "If you really want me to leave, I'll leave.
悟空生气了：“如果你真的想要我走，我就走。
But don't come looking for me when you need help!" He leaped into the air and vanished.
但是，以后你需要帮助的时候，别想我会回来！”他跳到空中消失了。
