Thus children are ever ready, when novelty knocks, to desert their dearest ones.

To show that her departure would leave him unmoved, he skipped up and down the room, playing gaily on his heartless pipes.
为了表示对温迪的离去无动于衷，彼得在房里溜溜达达，美滋滋地吹着他那支没心没肺的笛子。
