"I heard the fir-trees rustle, but I can't see them and do not hear them any more," replied Heidi, looking in great perplexity down the street.
“刚才我听见枞树哗哗地响。可是找不到树在哪儿，已经听不见了。”说着，海蒂失望地向马车消失的方向望了望。
The noise of the passing carriage had reminded her of the roaring of the south-wind on the Alp.
她错把马车的声音当成南风吹过阿尔卑斯的枞树时发出的响声。
