Chinese New Year celebrations and festivities:
A lot of eating during the holidays:
Overeat
I overate during the New Year break:
Eat a little too much (actually a lot)
I ate a little too much during the New Year: 我春节吃得有点儿多。
I had a little too much to eat:
Feast
I feasted on tons of great food back home:
Wining and dining
Our boss really knows how to wine and dine clients:
Indulge:
Indulge in/with something:
I indulged during Chinese New Year:
Overindulge:
Let loose:
He let himself go:
Consequence: 后果
Face the consequences:
Gain a little weight:
Indigestion:
Sit&Agree,
Something didn't sit well with me/my stomach:
Something didn't agree with my stomach:
I ate something that didn't sit well with me/my stomach
I ate something that didn't agree well with me/my stomach
I ate something bad:
Watch what you eat
Pay attention to what you eat
Be disciplined with what you eat
Let my stomach rest for a while
