You're in Beijing I understand it will also take you to Chengdu, what will be the aim of this trip?
您现在在北京，我知道您还会去成都，那么这次旅行的目的是什么?
Well thank you very much, my delegation and I came to Beijing by the invitation of the CPC.
非常感谢，我和代表团是应中国共产党的邀请来北京的。
And we have come to do two things.
我们来这里是为了做两件事。
Number one is to sign a memorandum of understanding between my party the SPLM and the CPC.
第一件事是在我的苏丹政党和中国共产党之间签署一份谅解备忘录。
Number two is for my delegation, especially governors who are the chairpersons of my party in various states of South Sudan,
第二件事是让我的代表团，特别是在南苏丹各个州担任我党主席的州长们，
to come and learn for themselves how poverty is alleviated in some of the areas.

What is your general impression of how China was able to have lifted hundreds of millions of people from extreme poverty in just a span of a few decades?

It really mind-boggling when you think of the numbers,

but I think the the discipline and the determination to lift people out of poverty is what really won by the end of the day.

It really involved a lot of people, individuals, the CPC, the governments, the private sector, all of them involved.

Including those who are also poverty stricken, for them to be willing to be relocated to certain areas where their lives can be transformed.

I think that is a very serious initiative and it requires a serious policy maker, serious implementers, people who are willing to to make lives better for their populations.

China—obviously the largest developing country, Africa—the continent with the most number of developing countries here,

China and South Sudan and other African countries are trying to join hands to build a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.

You know for African continents, we liberated ourselves from oppressive colonial systems.

Our desire is to transform our life, the lives of our people for better.

And it has been almost impossible for the last so many years maybe around 30 or even 40 years.

But our cooperation with China has been based on how do we help the African people come out of this backwardness and be together with the rest of the world.

We have seen China as a true partner for us, working together to uplift the people of Africa out of poverty.
我们视中国为真正的合作伙伴，共同帮助非洲人民摆脱贫困。
That is a kind of cooperation that we would want to see.

What we have experienced with others is that they come with the prescribed development model that might have worked with them and they want you to use it or otherwise, if you don't use it then there is no reason for you to do any other thing.
我们与其他人合作的经验是，他们带着可能适用于自己的规定开发模型来了，他们希望你使用它，如若不然，你就没有理由做任何其他事情。
And so for us, our relationship has defined with, by focus, I think will continue into the near future because we are all sharing and benefiting together.
