- The Wind and the Sun were disputing which was the stronger.
- 风和太阳在为谁的能量大相互争论不休。
- Suddenly they saw a traveller coming down the road, and the Sun said: "I see a way to decide our dispute.
- 突然，他们看到一个行人走在路上，太阳说：“我想到一个办法来解决我们的争端。
- Whichever of us can cause that traveller to take off his cloak shall be regarded as the stronger. You begin."
- 我们中谁能使那个行人脱下披风，谁就更强大。你开始吧。”
- So the Sun retired behind a cloud, and the Wind began to blow as hard as it could upon the traveller.
- 于是太阳藏在乌云后面，风开始拼命地吹着那个行人。
- But the harder he blew the more closely did the traveller wrap his cloak round him, till at last the Wind had to give up in despair.
- 但是风刮得越猛烈，行人越是裹紧自己的披风，最后风不得不绝望地放弃了。
- Then the Sun came out and shone in all his glory upon the traveller, who soon found it too hot to walk with his cloak on.
- 然后太阳出来了，暖暖地晒着行人，行人很快就发现披着披风走路太热了。
- Kindness effects more than severity.
