Well, I haven't been to the gym in a month.

No, wait, the last time I went was two months Ago.
不，等等，我上次去是两个月前。
All I did Yesterday was watch the new Van Damme movie.

No way! I saw that two days Ago.
不可能吧！我前两天看得它。
No, wait, it was last Tuesday.

Past time words like Yesterday, Last and Ago are commonly used in English.
表示过去时间的单词比如Yesterday，Last与Ago在英语中很常用。
Lucija and I just used a lot of past time words in talking about things we had done.
我和露西佳刚刚用了很多表示过去的单词讨论我们做过的事情。
Now, let's find simpler examples using the independent clause, "John went home."
现在，我们用独立分句“John went home”来找一些较简单的例子。
Remember, Yesterday means the day before today.
记住，Yesterday是指今天的前一天。
And can be combined with morning, afternoon and evening.
它可以与morning，afternoon和evening等词连用。
"John went home yesterday." Or "John went home yesterday evening."
“John went home yesterday.”（约翰昨天回家了）或“John went home yesterday evening”。（约翰昨晚回家了）
Now, Last is used with: night; long periods of time, such as week, month and year;
Last可以与night；长时段的单词如week，month与year；
seasons—spring, summer, fall and winter and days of the week.
季节单词——spring，summer，fall与winter以及days of the week等词连用。
So, we might say, "John went home last night."
所以我们可以说“John went home last night”。（约翰昨晚回家了。）
"John went home last week."
“John went home last week.”（约翰上周回家了。）
Simple, right? Ago is even simpler.
很简单，对吧？Ago更简单。
All it means is "in the past", and follows specific lengths of time,

like Five minutes ago or Five years ago.
比如五分钟前或者五年前。
