I'm so Anxious to see it! You are? Why?

Well, duh. It's arguably one of the greatest movie franchises out there.

And I heard that the latest one is the best one of the series!

You sound excited. I am! But you're Anxious?
你听起来很兴奋。确实是！但你为什么焦急呢？
That's what I said.

I think you've got your adjectives mixed up!
我觉得你把形容词弄混了！
The adjective Anxious means worried or nervous.
形容词Anxious的意思是担心或焦虑。
It has a negtive connotation.
它内涵消极。
So you can see why I was confused when you said you were excited to see the new movie,
所以你能明白我为什么感到困惑了吧，你说你很兴奋去看新电影，
but you used the word Anxious.
但却用了Anxious一词。
But what should I have used instead?
但是我应该用什么代替呢？
Eager! Eager? Yes, Eager. This adjective has a positive connotation
Eager! Eager? 没错，Eager！这个形容词有积极意义，
and means excited or delighted about future events.
意思是对未来的事情感到兴奋或高兴。
So I should have said that I was Eager to see the movie.
所以我应该说“I was Eager to see the movie”。
I'm sure English speakers confuse these two words all the time!
我肯定说英语的人总是把这两个词搞混！
They do! So tell me which adjective you would use with this example:
他们确实这样！所以告诉我，这个例子你会用哪个形容词。
I'm (eager/anxious) for the school year to end, so I can finally go on vacation.
I'm (eager/anxious) for the school year to end, so I can finally go on vacation（我对学年期末充满渴望，那样我就可以去度假了)。
Eager! Because you are excited to go on vacation.
Eager！因为你很高兴去度假。
I'm (eager/anxious) to see my grade. I didn't study a lot.
I'm (eager/anxious) to see my grade. I didn't study a lot.（我担心看成绩。我没有好好学习。）
Oh, you're definitely nervous since you didn't study a lot, so I'll go with Anxious.
你很担心，因为你没有好好学习，所以我选Anxious！
