Japan says the plans to spend over $200 billion dollars on military equipment over the next five years. The number is 6.4 percent higher than the previous five-year plan. The new adopted defence guideline says the US followed by China, the DPRK and Russia are the countries the most influenced Japan's latest military strategy. China's foreign ministry says Tokyo is “singing the same old tune” and making “thoughtless remarks” about China's normal defence activities.
