China has rejected a report on Hong Kong issues by the British government. British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said in the UK's Six-Monthly Report on Hong Kong that he had concerns about the "integrity of Hong Kong's law enforcement".
A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson has dismissed the accusations.
"The British government released a so-called six-monthly report on the Hong Kong issue and made improper comments on Hong Kong's affairs. China resolutely opposes it. Some content in the report made unfounded criticism of China, which we will not accept."
"Hong Kong is China's Special Administrative Region. Hong Kong's affairs are China's internal affairs. Foreign countries have no right to interfere. We demand that Britain be discreet with its words and stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs."
