Director of the new documentary BRATS. It's all about the 1980s Brat Pack. Andrew, welcome, it's great to see you here. Good to be here guys.

We have all been looking forward to this documentary. What can you tell us about it?

Well, I just thought it'd be great to go back and reconnect with the old gang I hadn't seen. Most of them in about 30 years and it was such a seminal, you know, moment in all our lives.

And none of us had ever talked about it before, so I just thought it'd be good to sort of go see what everybody felt about it.

You know, because it was such a crazy thing when it first happened to us. We all hated it.

You know and over time it's become this wonderfully iconic affection term, you know. And so I just want to see what everybody's relationship to it was.

Cuz it is like a relationship. It's followed me every day I hear. I'm sure it has. Were you surprised when they said yes we'll talk to you about it?

I was, I was surprised cuz I think even 10 years ago people wouldn't have talked about it you know.

But as you get old, you start to look back on your past in a different way and you kind of go oh you know what that was a beautiful thing.

And so and we were like the only members of this club and so we're the only ones to know what it was like. So it was nice to just sort of go back.

But yeah I was surprised that people said yes and then it took me forever to track them down and actually get in a room and talk to them.

Do most people, most of your fellow pack members agree that it was... You can call us brats.

Do they agree with that is a beautiful thing? Yeah I think now most do. I think it took a long time, took me decades.

Did it really irritate you? I feel like... I mean who wants to be called a brat when you're a kid, particularly when you're a kid and you think you are a brat.

So you don't want to be called it and you don't want to be a member of a pack and all that. And we felt it affected our lives you know.

But like I say when people of a certain generation come up to me, Super Fan okay, come up to me on the street there sort of and they start talking about those movies.

It's like their eyes glaze over and they say oh the Brat and they start talking. And I realize they're not even looking at me anymore. They're talking to themselves in their own youth.

And I've become sort of the avatar of their youth and other members of the Brat Pack.

So they look at me with such affection because that time when we're young is such a when you're coming of age it's such a wondrous time in life.

You know, you're just sort of blossoming. The world as a blank slate to be written on and it's like let me add it and we represent that for that generation.
