As Yasuo gazed at her, the girl looked at the clock one last time, thrust her hands on her hips, and walked away.
当Yasuo盯着她看的时候，女孩最后一次看了看钟，把手插在屁股兜上，然后走开了。
Before he knew what he was doing, he jumped to his feet.
他还没反应过来，就跳了起来。
"Wait!"he cried. The girl turned around and smiled.
“等等!”他大喊道。女孩转过身来，微笑着。
Yasuo noticed she had a dimple in her left cheek.
Yasuo注意到她的左脸颊上有一个酒窝。
It disappeared quickly when the girl saw a stranger had called to her.
当女孩看到是一个陌生人叫她时，她脸上的笑很快就消失了。
She turned on her heels and started out of the station.
她转身准备离开车站。
"Wait!"Yasuo called again.
“等等!”Yasuo再次喊道。
"I know I am not the one you are waiting for,"he said as he caught up to her.
“我知道我不是你在等的那个人，”他说着追上了她。
"But I would be honored if you would take a walk with me."
“但如果你能和我一起散步，我会很荣幸的。”
He lowered his eyes and bowed.
他垂下眼睛，鞠了一躬。
"My name is Yasuo Takahashi. Come, ask the Station Master. He will tell you I am respectable."
“我叫Yasuo Takahashi。来，我们去问问站长。他会告诉你我是值得尊敬的人。”
He led her inside the station over to Mr. Yoshikawal's office.
他把她领进车站，来到吉川先生的办公室。
"Happy New Year,"Yasuo said, bowing to his friend.
“新年快乐，”Yasuo向他的朋友鞠躬道。
He gave Mr. Yoshikawa the gift he had brought.
他把自己带来的礼物送给了吉川。
"I would like you to meet..."
“我想让你认识一下……”
"My name is Miyuki,"the girl said with a bow to the Station Master.
“我叫鸠山幸，”女孩向站长鞠了一躬。
"I am pleased to meet you,"Mr. Yoshikawa said, returning the bow.
“很高兴见到你。”吉川边说边还了鞠躬。
"And I am pleased to see you have met my friend Yasuo.
“我很高兴你认识了我的朋友Yasuo。
He is a fine young man: patient and devoted, loyal and responsible, known far and wide for his kindness."
他是一个很好的年轻人：有耐心，忠诚，负责，他的善良远近闻名。”
Mr. Yoshikawa smiled broadly.
吉川喜笑颜开。
"And he is about to be rewarded for a very kind thing he did many years ago."

The Station Master winked at Yasuo.
站长向Yasuo使了个眼色。
"Make sure you tell Miyuki all about your friend Hachiko."
“一定要把你朋友八公的事都告诉鸠山幸。”
