There are a lot of different ways to make suggestions in English.
用英语提建议有许多不同的方法。
Today, we will talk about using the word Shall, Why Don't and Let's.
我们今天讲的是用Shall，Why Don't和Let's提建议。
Why don't you go first?
你先怎么样？
Why Don't turns a sentence into a question and is used to make a friendly suggestion.
Why Don't把句子变成问句，用于提出友好建议。
In other words, you are asking someone if they agree with what you are suggesting.
换句话说，你在问某人他们是否同意你的建议。
The structure is, Why Don't+Subject+Simple Verb Form
它的结构是Why Don't+主语+动词原形
Why don't we go to the movies?
我们去看电影怎么样？
Why don't you come over at eight?
你为什么不八点过来呢？
Why don't we meet for lunch?
我们见面吃个饭怎么样？
Shall is used in the same way, has a similar structure and ultimately, means the same thing.
Shall与它的用法相同，结构相似，最终意思也一样。
Shall we go to the movies?
我们去看电影怎么样？
Shall we meet for lunch?
我们见面吃个饭怎么样？
Shall I open the window?
我可以打开窗户吗？
But Let's is a bit different.
但是Let's有点儿不同。
Let's is a contraction for let us.
Let's是let us的缩写形式。
It does not turn a sentence into a question.
它没有把句子转换成问句。
It is used to tell someone what you want to do with them.
它用于告诉某人你想和他们一起做某事。
The structure is, Let's+Simple Verb Form.
它的结构是Let's+动词原形。
Let's talk later.
我们晚点儿再说。
Let's travel to New York.
我们去纽约旅行吧。
Let's go dancing.
我们去跳舞吧！
Shall we leave the lesson at that? Let's!
我们该下课了吧？一起吧！
