Now Ukrainian Ground Forces are holding three-days of exercises amid martial law. President Petro Poroshenko said they are ready to defend the country.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko: We can see how instead of 30 soldiers, who were invited to arrive at a Military Commission in order to participate in exercises. 165 soldiers came with backpacks and the ready to defend Ukraine at any time. and I think it's very good sign which speaks for the readiness of Ukrainians to defend our land.
All this came after Ukraine claimed Russia is blocking its ports in the Sea of Azov where three Ukrainian ships were detained. NATO chief has refused to offer support for Kiev in order to avoid escalating the crisis. It did demand Russia end the stand-off.
