China has officially renamed the Tree of Life tower in Beijing's Olympic park to the Olympic Tower.
The International Olympic Committee approved the idea last year.
An 18-meter high statue of the Olympic rings sits on top of the tower-and is visible from miles away.
The Olympic Tower will serve both as a tourist destination and a base for collecting environmental data.
It will open to the public at the end of this month.
