《西游记》第六十七章 神偷
What are we going to do now?” cried Wukong.
“我们现在要怎么办？” 悟空大叫，
“One-Horned Buffalo stole all our weapons!”
“独角兕大王吸走了我们的兵器！”
The warrior rubbed his chin. He looked very serious.
天兵摸了摸自己的下巴。他看上去非常严肃。
“We can’t go back to the Jade Emperor.
“我们不能就这样回天庭。
He’ll be angry if he finds out we couldn’t arrest the demon.”
如果玉帝知道我们没有抓住那个妖怪的话，他会生气的。”
“You’re right,” said the fire god.
“你说得对。” 火神说，
“We need a different plan. It’s getting dark out, almost nighttime.
“我们需要再想个别的办法。现在天快黑了。
Maybe one of us can sneak into the cave and steal that metal ring.”
到了晚上的时候，我们中的一个人可以溜进洞里去把那金钢圈偷出来。”
The thunder god smiled. “I know who’s perfect for that job.” The others all looked at the god.
雷神笑了。“我知道谁最适合干这个。”大家都看向雷神。
“One of us is a master thief,” the thunder god continued.
“我们当中有一个神偷。” 雷神继续说道，
“He once stole all the peaches from the Royal Peach Garden.”
“他曾经偷了蟠桃园里的所有蟠桃。”
Now everyone looked at Wukong. The monkey pretended to laugh.
这时，所有人都看向悟空。悟空假笑了一下。
“Ha-ha. Yes, it’s true. I used to steal things, but I know now that stealing is wrong.
“好吧，确实如此。我以前是偷过东西，但我现在知道偷东西是不对的了。
However, I will steal that metal ring because I need to save the Tang Monk. You all wait here.”
不过，我还是会去偷那金钢圈的。因为我得救唐僧。你们在这里等我。”
The monkey turned himself into a tiny bug and flew into the cave.
悟空变成了一只小虫子，飞进了洞里。
He went down a long, dark tunnel followed by another tunnel.
他飞过一条又一条长长的黑暗隧道。
Then he heard One-Horned Buffalo. Wukong flew toward the voice.
最后，他听到了独角兕大王的声音。悟空顺着声音飞了过去。
The demon was sitting on the edge of a bed, talking to himself.
那妖怪正坐在床边自言自语，
The metal ring was still on his arm. “It’s time for bed,” said the demon with a yawn.
手臂上依然戴着那金钢圈。“该睡觉了。” 妖怪打了个哈欠说，
“I hope I can eat the Tang Monk tomorrow.
“希望明天可以吃了唐僧。
I couldn’t eat him today because of that annoying monkey and his friends from Heaven.”
今天没吃成，就是因为那只讨厌的猴子。”
The demon lay down and was soon asleep. Wukong flew over and landed on the demon’s arm.
妖怪躺下，很快就睡着了。悟空飞了过去，落在妖怪的手臂上。
“I’ll bite his arm,” thought the monkey.
“我要在他的手臂上咬几口。” 悟空想，
“He’ll get itchy and have to take off the metal ring.”
“他觉得痒的话，就会把金钢圈拿下来的。”
Wukong bit the demon’s arm again and again.
悟空在妖怪的手臂上咬了一口又一口。
The demon rolled over and mumbled in his sleep, “Bugs . . . itchy . . .” He scratched his arm.
妖怪翻了个身，说着梦话。“臭虫……痒……” 他挠了挠手臂。
Wukong bit him some more. The demon scratched and scratched.
悟空又咬了几口。妖怪又挠了挠，
But he didn’t take off the metal ring. “This isn’t working,” thought Wukong.
但他还是没有把金钢圈拿下来。“这方法没用。” 悟空想。
He was about to leave the room when he spotted some things in the corner. He gasped.
他正要离开的时候，突然发现了墙角里有一些东西。悟空大吃一惊。
“Our weapons!” Quietly he changed back into himself.
“我们的兵器！”他悄悄地变回了原形。
He made his iron bar small and put it in his ear.
他把金箍棒变小后放入耳朵里，
Then he grabbed the flaming spear, the thunderbolt, and the sword.
然后拿起了火矛、雷电，还有宝剑。
Outside the cave the others were waiting. The warrior made a fist.
洞穴外，其他人都在等着悟空。
“I hope Wukong steals that metal ring. I am so angry at that demon!”
天兵握紧了拳头说：“希望悟空可以把金钢圈偷出来。我实在是太生气了！”
“So am I,” said the fire god. “I can’t believe he stole my fire spear.”
“我也是。” 火神说，“他居然吸走了我的火矛。”
The thunder god held up a hand. “Shh. The door is opening.”
雷神举起一只手说：“嘘。门开了。”
The three of them held their breath. When they saw Wukong peek out, they were relieved.
他们屏住了呼吸。当他们看见悟空出来的时候，都松了一口气。
“Did you get the ring?” asked the thunder god. “No, but look!”
“你拿到那个金钢圈了吗？” 雷神问。“没有，但是你们看！”
The monkey held up the weapons. “Well done, Wukong!” said the fire god.
悟空举起了那些兵器。“干得好，悟空！” 火神说。
The thunder god clapped the monkey on the back. “Thank you, Wukong.”
雷神拍了下悟空的背。“谢谢你，悟空。”
The warrior held up his sword.
天兵举起了他的宝剑。
“We’re all armed. We can easily defeat the demon now.”
“我们有兵器了。现在可以轻松地打败那个妖怪了。”
“You’re right,” said Wukong. He looked around.
“你说得对。” 悟空说。他看了看大家。
“Is everyone ready?” “Yes!” said the warrior. “Yes!” said the fire god.
“大家都准备好了吗？”“准备好了！” 天兵说。“准备好了！” 火神说。
“Yes!” said the thunder god. The monkey banged on the cave door.
“准备好了！” 雷神说。悟空用力敲着洞门喊道：
“Wake up, One-Horned Buffalo!
“醒醒，独角兕大王！
Get out here right now or we’ll destroy your entire mountain!”
马上出来，不然我们就毁了你的山！”
The demon stepped outside, yawning. Then he saw the weapons.
妖怪走到了外面，打着哈欠。当他看到兵器的时候说道：
“How dare you steal from me!” He held up the metal ring.
“你们居然敢从我这里偷东西！” 他举起了金钢圈。
Before anyone could react, the weapons were sucked into it once again.
在大家还没有反应过来的时候，那些兵器又一次被吸进了金钢圈里。
