Believe it or not, there are still undecided voters out there, but these voters may not be questioning who to vote for. Instead, they may be questioning whether to vote at all.

And this small group of voters could have a major impact on the election. Here is what we know now. Are they really undecided or just unenthusiastic?

Probably a little bit of both to be honest, but they're also conflicted. The undecided voters who I spoke with, some of course who bravely went on the record with me,

and some who didn't for a variety of reasons, including fear, are really dissatisfied for many reasons,

including lack of clear policies, the economy, potential threats to democracy and even down to the the the presidential candidates' personalities.

How many of these voters are there? Undecided voters make a small fraction of the overall electorate between 2 and 5%, depending on which poll you choose to look at.

What could their impact be on the election, especially if they don't vote or write in a third party?

These voters could opt out and not choose to vote at all. They could stay on the couch or they could have a role play an impact, which is quite possible one of those who I spoke with.

But some also may feel a patriotic duty like a couple of veterans I spoke to and want to exercise their right to vote.

You know this campaign being so intense, these voters ranging from big cities to the tiniest of towns could be deciding factor in what may be the closest presidential race ever.
