Hello, I'm John Russell. Let's continue our lessons on traveling.
Today, we will explore 2 words that are useful to know when you go on airplanes.
You can use these terms when you are making a reservation, or you can use the terms when you are on the airplane itself.
When you are booking an airplane ticket, you might be asked about which seat you prefer.
There are 3 general ways you might answer: I'd like a window seat, I'd like an aisle seat. I'd like a middle seat.
Although I'm not sure how many people would really like a middle seat.
In any case, all of these statements involved the structure: "I'd like..." This is the short form of "I would like..." The important words to focus on are the following: window, aisle, middle.
这是“I would like...”
Listen and repeat after me: window, I'd like a window seat. Middle, I'd like a middle seat. Aisle, I'd like an aisle seat.
What about when you are on an airplane? Perhaps you see an open seat that you would like to change to.
In this case, you can ask this:Could I have the empty window seat? Could I have the empty middle seat? Could I have the empty aisle seat?
Window, aisle, middle.
That's all for today. Keep up the good work.
