I started swimming just after my illness.

I must have been 7 or 8 years old.

But there was no one who looked like me.

I had no model.

It's when I decided to embark on this totally crazy project, that of swimming across Lake Titicaca,

that Laccoste spoke to me about creating my own collection,

and being the first disabled athlete whose T-shirt or cap one can wear.

Me, Louise Trotter and her teams all worked together, and the first task was to create my logo.

I didn't want it just to be a pretty drawing, I really wanted to look like me.

And then came to the collection itself.

We wanted it to be for everyone: men, women, the able-bodied and the handicapped.

It was super important for both myself and Lacoste that everyone could wear it, just like any other collection.

This collection, it really makes a difference, and that's what I'm proud of.

It also proves to that little boy that everything is possible.
