On an ordinary evening back in 2014, Tony Murray was getting ready for bed. [qh]

One was a black Labrador, and at some point, two officers went downstairs into the basement, and Murray recalled hearing gunshots, and he knew immediately what was happening because he heard the dogs scream out.[qh]

Officers spend the next hour searching through Murray's house, turning over his furniture, and rifling through his drawers.[qh]

He then looks out his window, and he sees the police officers who are still out there. [qh]

Mr. Murray reads the search warrant, and he sees that the officers were looking for drugs, and that baffled Mr. Murray. [qh]

When I read the warrant, it had the address next door to me.[qh]

Murray sued Detroit police for gross negligence and for violating his civil rights. [qh]
