The Peacock and Juno 孔雀与朱诺 A Peacock once placed a petition before Juno desiring to have the voice of a nightingale in addition to his other attractions; but Juno refused his request. 一只孔雀曾经向朱诺递交了一份请愿书，他希望除了他的其他魅力外，他还能拥有夜莺的声音；但朱诺拒绝了他的请求。 When he persisted, and pointed out that he was her favourite bird, she said: 当他坚持并指出他是她最喜欢的鸟时，她说： "Be content with your lot; one cannot be first in everything." “知足吧，一个人不可能在所有方面都独占鳌头。”
