On the night when I paid homage to my various influences and basketball heroes,
今晚，我向那些对我有影响力的人和篮球英雄们致敬，
nothing compares to the love, respect and admiration I have from my parents.
但没有什么能比得上我从父母那里获得的爱、尊重和钦佩。
My grandfather used to always say there's 12 inches between a pat on the back and a pat on the butt,

but as a parent, you gotta do both, and of course that was back when you could do both.

But the key is contact, constant contact, staying connected, being engaged.

And mom and dad, you guys have been there with me through this entire basketball journey from day one

when I registered for the game at Hunters Woods Elementary School at 6 years of age to now here in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
从6岁时在Hunters Woods小学注册参赛，一直到现在进入篮球名人堂。
Thank you both for being by my side on this incredible journey and for always being my number one heroes.
感谢你们在这段不可思议的旅程中一直陪伴在我身边，感谢你们一直充当着我的头号英雄。
And it's about beautiful daughters, Myla and Lael.
还有我漂亮的女儿，梅拉和莱尔。
There's nothing that gives me greater joy, pride, and fulfillment than watching you grow into amazing young women.

The moment I met you both for the very first time, I knew that you guys were my inspiration, my true inspiration in life.

So on this evening here at the Hall of Fame with all these hall of famers, just know that you two are my hall of famers. I love you both dearly.

And to my phenomenal wife Tamia. I still... clap it up, clap it up.

I still remember the first time I saw you and I knew that there was no way ever you would date me or marry me.
我仍然记得第一次和你相遇，我曾认为你不可能跟我约会，更不可能嫁给我。
But somehow someway you did and these last 22 years with you have been a gift from up above.
但你不仅和我约会，还嫁给了我，和你相伴的这22年是上帝赐给我的礼物。
So I sincerely look forward to continuing to spend my life with you.

Thank you for your love, your strength, your sacrifice, and being an awesome best friend as well.

In closing, I'd like to say how amazing my basketball adventure has been and still is to this day.

Yes, at times has been fraught with challenges and experiences that have forced me to grow in ways I could never imagine.
有时这条道路充满挑战和经历，迫使我以意想不到的方式成长。
You see the game, it teaches you about life, about commitment, perseverance, coexisting with others, handling success, dealing with failure.
篮球教会了我人生、承诺、毅力、共存，也教会了我如何应对成功和失败。
It will challenge you. It will encourage you. And if you're lucky, it will reward you, too.
它会对你发起挑战，也会给你鼓劲。如果你足够幸运，它还会予以回报。
And through my personal developmental process, I have tried to always honor and respect the legacies of the men and women who paved the way,

many of whom are in the Hall of Fame and in this building here tonight.

I'd like to thank all of you for your significant contributions to the game, for your sacrifices,

and for allowing us the Hall of Fame Class of 2018 to stand on your shoulders as we pursued our dreams on our respective journeys.

And now I am fortunate, we are fortunate as a Hall of Fame Class to join you here in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
