Jack Ma, who is Alibaba's chairman and CEO, says this deal begins a new chapter between China's version of Ebay and Yahoo, the US search engine company.
It also reserves the right to buy the rest of the shares owned by Yahoo which is about a 23% stake right now.

Now this payment will come in 3 forms.

On Tuesday, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer said this: Yahoo is pleased to announce that we will be returning 3 billion dollars of the proceeds to shareholders.
And these yields are a substantial return for investors while attaining a meaningful amount of capital within the company to basically invest in future growth.
