A new survey shows that out of every two people, at least one is fed up with public displays of affection on social messaging app WeChat, China Youth Daily reported.

The app's function Moments, known as "Friends' circle," allows users to share and get access to WeChat friends' information, creating an intimate and private communicating circle.

In a survey of 2,001 users, 56.3 percent said they "occasionally" shared their lives on WeChat Moments, 14.3 percent "often" shared their updates, and 3.2 percent never shared anything.
在一项对2001名用户的调查中,56.3%的人表示他们“偶尔”会在朋友圈晒生活,14.3%“经常”晒,3.2%的人从不晒。
As for why they chose to share content in text, picture or video form, 52.7 percent said they wanted other friends to know about their lives, 47.2 percent said it's about expressing their feelings at a given moment, and 42.2 percent said they used the platform as a way of recording their lives.
