Photos of a plane making a turn on a street have been circulated online in China recently, prompting jokes that the traffic jam in Xi'an, capital city of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, is caused by planes rather than vehicles now.
A 30-meter-long plane without wings was making a turn from a street to a yard in Yanliang district, Xi'an, and the traffic police was managing the scene, according to the photos released by hsw.cn.
“We'll use the upper part of this plane for training our flight attendants after it is disassembled,” said an employee from the company which purchased the plane.
The employee also said that it took one hour for the plane to enter the company's gate as it is a little bit difficult for such a big object weighing 13 tons to make a turn. As a result, the street experienced a slight congestion.
Some of the locals said that it is not rare to see a plane moving on a street as Yanliang is an aviation town.
