China's Tsinghua University has launched an initiative to reuse unclaimed bicycles. The school will give out the bicycles free of charge to students after being on display for six months.
The abandoned bicycles are stripped down and built into new ones with usable parts combined, accompanied by a one-month warranty. They are given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
There are altogether 525 "new" bicycles available for students. It saves students the expense of a new bicycle and the school won't have to deal with the abandoned trash.
