Good morning and welcome to American Museum of Natural History. My name is Susan, and I am very happy to be your lour guide today. The American Museum of Natural History is our first stop today. As you know, American Museum of Natural History is one of New York City's most popular attractions. It is the largest natural history museum in the world. It displays more than 30 million specimens from all branches of natural history. Four floors of exhibits cover a diverse range of topics and nearly everyone will find something of interest.Children and adults alike are going to be impressed by large dinosaur fossils,the great blue whale and many cultural halls. The American Museum of Natural History was founded in 1869 and it is an important scientific and cultural institution. It features impressive exhibitions and collections about human cultures, the natural world and the universe. Whether you're interested in dinosaurs or ecology, Native Americans or cosmic pathways. New York City's American Museum of Natural History has something for everyone.
Now we are at the entrance of the museum. For a small fee, you may check our coats, umbrellas and bags at the coat check in the Rose Center or Theodore Roosevelt Rotunda. This is a good investment in improving your museum experience and ensuring you can maximize your time in the museum without overheating or having your hands for the whole time. Now, make sure you've got a museum map. The American Museum of Nature History has four different floors, several staircases and elevators.You will be easily confused or get lost without a map.If you lose your map,you cat get one for free from any information booth in the museum.And also the museum staff are very helpful if you fell disoriented and need directions.
