国务院法制办公室近日全文公布《女职工特殊劳动保护条例(征求意见稿)》,征求社会各界意见。征求意见稿规定,将产假由90天增至14周。女职工怀孕未满4个月流产的,不少于2周的产假;怀孕满4个月流产的,不少于6周的产假。

Female workers in China are set to enjoy longer maternity leave from work. A draft regulation published by the State Council's Legislative Affairs Office would prolong a working woman's maternity leave from the current 90 days to 98 days (14 weeks).
我国女职工将享受更长的产假。国务院法制办公室近日公布了一份草案条例,拟将女职工的产假从90天延长至98天(14周)。
文中的longer maternity leave指的就是maternity leave extended(产假延长);maternity leave就是指“产假”,maternity一般指“怀孕;孕妇的;产妇的”,比如maternity insurance (生育保险)、maternity dress(孕妇装)、maternity and child care (妇幼保健)。
Maternity leave extended(产假延长)是当下关注和保护妇女权益的一种具体体现,无疑是值得肯定的,旨在实现Women's Right Protection(妇女权益保护)。
事实上,除了maternity leave extended (产假延长)之外,还有很多与女性相关的权益需要引起政府部门和整个社会的重视,比如农村妇女权益、没有工作的城市妇女、被企业歧视的就业女性等。
