Space program is very important to Ethiopia, especially when it comes to the application part.

Because using satellite images, we can support the agriculture sector.

It's also using for natural source monitoring for uh, for land, rural and urban land management, for water resource monitoring, for environmental protection.

So we are trying to use, I mean, the application part of space so in order to support the development of the nation.

How significant is China's cooperation with Ethiopia?

We have seen it assisting the country to launch the first two satellites that you have and there are other plants that are reportedly in launching the third satellite.

How important is this?

Because it's not been with the support of the Chinese government we might not have launched it the first remote sensing satellite in such a short time.

So we are really thankful and we're very much grateful to the Chinese government for the support they provided to us in order to, I mean enhance the space program in Ethiopia.

So and this support should continue, because China within a short time have really achieved a very big achievement in space program by now they have, their own, I mean, Space Station, they're really very experienced.

So space program in China is well developed.

So we want to learn from their experience, so this cooperation should continue not only with Ethiopia but between China and Africa, too.

Yes, such kind of event is really very much encouraging, especially to impress the young generation.

So I mean, while having such kind of conversation with the Chinese astronaut definitely the young generation will be very much interested, I mean, to follow the same path and to achieve that big dream.
