In Sri Lanka where police say gunmen opened fire on a convoy of buses carrying dozens of minority Muslims to a voting station. Nobody is reported to have been injured in the attack. Sri Lanka is electing a new president today, with a record 35 candidates on the ballot paper. The ILA mission is still struggling to recover from the deadly Easter Sunday attacks on hotels and churches earlier this year. Minority Tamils and Muslims are seen as crucial in the close election, and it's thought the Buffs attack was aimed at deterring people from voting.
