Sixteen people are reported injured after a magnitude 5.7 earthquake in the south of Sichuan Province. No deaths have been reported. The China Earthquake Network Center says the quake struck at a depth of 12 kilometers in Xingwen County which is near the borders with Yunnan and Guizhou provinces. Footage captured by local residents shows falling tiles and cracks forming in buildings. The several towns have been left without electricity and gas. Repairs and rescue work are being underway.
