What does it mean when we describe somebody as the total package?

When we describe somebody as the total package, what we are saying is that person has everything they need. That person has all of the best qualities.

There is nothing missing. This person is lacking nothing. They have all of the best qualities. For example, let's say that two friends are talking.

In other words, he has everything. He has everything you could want to have in a boyfriend, or a husband, or a girlfriend, or a wife. This person has it all.

This person is lacking nothing. So, if we imagine this person is some kind of a package, this person is total. In other words, this person is complete. This person has it all.

And so, when we describe people as the total package, we are saying something very good about them. We are saying this person has everything. This person has it all.

They are not missing anything. There are no pieces of the puzzle that are missing. They are total. They are complete. They have everything you could want.
