I love that line! I wish I was able to fix up things like that… my car doesn't look like much, and it doesn't have it where it counts.

It made me think about how English speakers sometimes make unusual pronoun choices when they talk about some objects, like large pieces of machinery, cars, boats, spaceships.

That's right! Usually we use "it" to talk about objects… but in rare cases, I hear people use "she".

I wouldn't recommend using "she" to refer to an object on a writing test.

Yes, I imagine most writing tests would mark off for that.
