Choose 'other' or 'another'.
选择‘other’还是‘another’。
I don't like that movie, is there ---- one that we can watch?
我不喜欢那部电影，有另一部可以看吗？
So we know that the word has to replace the noun 'movie', right?
我们知道这个单词需要替代名词‘电影’，是吧？
Meaning an additional or a different movie.
意思是另外一个或者是不同的电影。
So we need to choose a pronoun for a singular countable noun, it must be 'another'.
所以我们需要选择一个能够代替单数可数名词的代词，那肯定是‘another’。
Are there any ---- dishes without meat?
这里有没肉的菜吗？
So check out the noun here, it's plural, 'dishes'.
检查一下这里的名词，是复数的‘dishes’。
And we can't say 'any' with 'another' right?
我们不能将‘any’和‘another’连用，对吧？
So 'other' is the correct answer.
所以这里‘other’才是正确的答案。
Do you accept ---- type of payment besides cash?
你接受除了现金之外其他的支付方式吗？
'Another' is right but what if it was 'types'—plural?
‘Another’是正确的，但是如果是‘types’，也就是复数呢？
Then it would be 'other'.
那就应该是‘other’。
I need to buy ---- phone charger, I lost mine!
我需要再买个手机充电器，我自己的丢了!
So it's a singular countable noun.
这是个单数可数名词。那就必须是‘another’。
So it must be 'another'. I don't like oysters, but I love ---- kinds of seafood.
我不喜欢牡蛎，但是我喜欢其他的海鲜。
We have a plural countable noun here so we need to use 'other'.
我们这里是复数可数名词，所以我们需要使用‘other’。

Remember that your decision to use 'other' or 'another' really depends on the noun that you're using, whether it's singular, plural or uncountable.
记住哦，决定使用‘other’还是‘another’取决于你们使用的名词，看它是单数的、复数的，还是不可数的。
