To plant a seed means to put something-like an idea or feeling-in someone's mind.
“plant a seed”是指在某人的心中种下某事 比如一个想法或者一种感觉
It can be a positive thing, like giving Anna the idea to go to Brazil.
它可以是正面的东西 比如让安娜想到巴西去
Or it can be a negative thing-like introducing a feeling of suspicion or doubt.
也可以是负面的东西 比如引起猜忌或怀疑感
