The saying, crying crocodile tears, comes from an ancient story that crocodiles weep for the victims they eat.

Of course that's not entirely true.

Crocodiles do cry while eating, but it's because air is forced through their sinuses and empties their tear glands.

Whether they're sincere tears or not, butterflies and bees don't seem to care.
