On the back of key EU leaders throwing support behind China's opposition to solar panel tariffs, China's Commerce Ministry has stated China is against the EU's anti-dumping duties to Chinese solar products AND investigations into its telecom products.
Jiang Yaoping, the vice minister said that China plans to solve trade conflicts through dialogues, but will take necessary moves to protect sovereign benefits if it is needed.
In the EU, at least 14 member countries are against the duties on Chinese solar makers, including Germany and the UK. In an informal meeting with EU's Trade Commissioner Karel De Guchtbi, China's Vice Commerce Minister Zhong Shan said that trade protectionism will not be acceptable.
