So Daniel, let's talk about childhood memories. Do you have any fond memory?
丹尼尔，我们来谈谈童年记忆。你有什么美好的回忆吗？

Well, yeah, I do. I had a great time when I was a kid but definitely my best memory is, well, holidays.
有。我小时候度过了一段非常棒的时期，那个假期肯定是我最棒的回忆。

When I was a kid in Chile, we used to have a three month summer holiday and it was brilliant
我小时候，智利一般会放三个月左右的暑假，那非常棒，

because I used to go to the countryside to my great-grandma's house
因为我以前经常去我曾祖母位于乡村的房子，

and she had kind of a hostel at that time
那时她开了一家招待所，

and it was brilliant because you had people coming in and out all the time, new people.
我觉得那非常好，因为一直有不同的人进出。

The town was like really, really small and everything was so natural
那座城镇非常小，一切都非常自然，

so I got to spend three months every summer in a really nice place
所以我每年暑假都有三个月的时间在一个很棒的地方度过，

doing nothing but playing with my friends all the time,
而且什么都不用做，就是和朋友们一起玩，

going to the beach every day and like having amazing food.
我们每天都去海滩，享用美味的食物。

It was too good to be true, seriously.
说实话，那有点儿好的令人难以置信。

Unfortunately like then I grew older and I couldn't have the three months
不幸的是，我长大以后就没有那三个月的假期了，

so I was going like, I don't know, two weeks and stuff like that.
我只有两周左右的假期。

And then lately I couldn't go any more so it's shame
后来我就没时间再去那里了，这真遗憾，

but at the same time it's a great, it's really good that I got the chance to do it
不过同时我也觉得很幸运，我有机会度过这样的时光，

and I got the chance to experience it and I think that's one of my great memories of my childhood.
我有机会经历这种生活，我认为这是我孩童时代最棒的回忆之一。

So you go there every summer?
你每年暑假都去？

Well, not any more but I used to go there when I was a kid every, pretty much every summer, yeah.
现在已经不去了，不过我小时候基本上每年暑假都去那里。

So how did you spend the time? Like what did you do? Did you just play with friends or...?
那你如何度过你的暑假？你会做些什么？就和朋友们一起玩还是……？

Well, yeah, I used to get up really late every day
对，我以前每天起得很晚，

then I don't know go for a football game with friends then, I don't know, having an amazing lunch.
然后和朋友去踢足球，享用美味的午餐。

In the afternoon going to the beach, coming back, have dinner and then go out and play again.
下午我们会去海滩，然后回家吃晚饭，吃完晚饭后再出去玩。

It was really like the same thing every day
基本上每天都是这样度过的，

but at the same time since I was playing every day it didn't feel like a routine
每天都在玩，那其实并不是日程，

so, I don't know, three months doing that every year was amazing.
每年有三个月的时间这样度过非常棒。

I mean food and friends, my definition of having fun.
我对享受乐趣的定义就是，美食和朋友。

Yeah, yeah, it is definitely, yeah.

So you had three months holiday? Yeah.
你有三个月的假期？对。

Summer holiday? That's pretty long.
暑假？时间好长。

Yeah, it's because, well we finish everything in December before Christmas and New Year
对，因为在圣诞节和新年之前，我们会在12月完成所有的事情，

so you have pretty much the whole of December plus January and February. That's the summer in Chile.
所以12月、1月和2月都是假期。这三个月是智利的暑假。

Interesting, summer in December.
