你好，菲利佩，你好吗？

Hello, I'm fine. You?
你好，我很好。你呢？

Good, good, but, you know, I was wondering for me Ecuador and Colombia seem to be so the same.

Can you tell me how can I distinguish them or what is the difference between Ecuador and Colombia?

Well I don't think, maybe OK let's say culture is pretty much the same but let's talk about people OK?

Ecuadoreans and Colombians are different I think.
我认为厄瓜多尔人和哥伦比亚人很不同。

Colombian people are more hard working people.
哥伦比亚人在工作上更努力。

They really, they really worry about working and earning a lot of money and stuff like that, you know.
他们对工作和挣大钱之类的事情很关心。

But Ecuadoreans are more like, you know, easy-going people so I think that's the main difference between them.
不过厄瓜多尔人则更悠闲随和，我认为这是两国民众之间最大的不同。

That is so interesting. What about climate or the cities or the nature?

Is there any differences between Ecuador and Colombia?

Yes, you're right. The climate and environment is quite different.

Well, there is one similarity and it's that they,
有一点很相似，

both countries have their highlands which is the Andes highlands and the Amazon region and the coastal region
两个国家都有高原，也就是安第斯高原，两国都位于亚马逊地区，也都有沿海地区，

but the size of the countries are different.
但是两国的面积不同。

Colombia is a huge country and also it has the Caribbean Sea which Ecuador doesn't have.
哥伦比亚是一个大国，有加勒比海，而厄瓜多尔并没有。

And now if you look at Ecuador, Ecuador is quite a small country compared to Colombia.
如果看厄瓜多尔地图的话，你会发现和哥伦比亚比起来，厄瓜多尔是一个非常小的国家。

That is so interesting. What about some similarities?

Well if you, yes there are many similarities.

For example, if you look at the food, mainly the food is composed of, you know, potatoes and corn and many fruits that both countries have

so if you travel to Colombia, if you travel to Ecuador, you will pretty much find the same kind of food
你去哥伦比亚和厄瓜多尔旅行的话，你会发现两国的食物基本一样，

because it's made of the same, from the same kind of ingredients.
因为这些食物都是由同样的配料烹饪而成的。
