So, Katia, you were talking about how you had an internship
卡蒂亚，之前你谈了你的实习工作，

and you actually made the transition from university to the working world and internship
实际上实习时你是从大学生活过渡到了工作社会，

and now you've actually gone back to the university world.
而现在你又回到了大学生活。

What struck you as the biggest difference having to go to the real world, the working world from university?
你认为大学和工作环境最大的不同是什么？

Well the biggest difference and something that I felt right away was the responsibility that you have when you're working for somebody else.
我马上感觉到的最大不同是，在工作时要对其他人负责。

When you're a student you're really, you're only responsible for yourself
作为学生只要对自己负责就行了，

and making the deadlines and doing the work but other than that nobody else is dependent on you
设置截止时间，完成任务，除此之外没有人依靠你，

and when you are working there are people depending on you so the responsibility part was the biggest difference.
可是在工作时，其他人的工作需要你的工作去支持，所以责任方面是最大的不同。

In terms of having to do work, where there any different skill sets that you found that you really needed in the working world that you didn't get at university?
在工作方面，你认为有哪些技能是工作领域中需要，而在大学中学不到的？

I think when you're a student in the university,
在大学学习时，

you see so many theoretical work that you really do not know how that can be used in real life.
可能有很多理论研究你不知道要如何应用在现实生活中。

When you go to work and you start doing things, you get to understand a little bit more why you're doing what you're doing and it's not so much theoretical.
而当你去工作时你会渐渐明白为什么你要学习这些知识，为什么要这样做，而且你会发现其实那些知识并不只是理论上的。

Was there anything that you thought you maybe lacked that you wish you had prepared yourself more at university,
你认为你在哪方面有所欠缺，或是你希望在大学里学习的，

for example computer skills or writing skills or anything like that?
比如电脑技能或是写作技能还是其他的技能？

I think presenting skills. Presenting skills and also technical words that I needed, like I wasn't prepared for that.
我认为是表达能力。表达能力和专业词汇都是我需要的，可是我并没有在这些方面进行准备。

Can you give an example of some technical words?
你能举例说一些专业词汇吗？

For example, well I learned technical words in English for example like jurisdiction
我学过管辖权等专业词汇的英语说法，

but I didn't know how to say it that in Spanish even though that's my native language but it is a technical word
可是我不知道用西班牙语怎么说，虽然西班牙语是我的母语，可是由于这是专业术语，

so that conversion I wasn't ready for that but eventually it was and everything came out all right.
所以这种语言上的转换我还没有准备好，不过最后一切都可以解决。

Yes, so I guess one big change is in university, you might have mistakes when you write
嗯，我想最大的不同是，在大学里你在写作时可能会犯错，

but you maybe don't worry about that so much but in the professional world it has to be perfect, right?
不过你不用太担心，可是在工作中，一切都要力求完美，对吧？

You really don't want to make mistakes because that can, that will lead to less trust from you
真的不想犯错，因为这可能会导致你的信任度降低，

so really having mistakes is not, it reflects how much you can do or cannot do.
所以犯错会对你能做多少工作产生影响。

Right. And so now you're actually back.
好。现在你已经回归校园生活了。

You're back in a graduate degree so you've come back to the university. Which world do you prefer?
你回到大学继续念硕士研究生。学习和工作你更喜欢哪个？

I prefer the working world. I like being a student of course and it's quite relaxing and it's very nice
我喜欢工作环境。当然我也喜欢学生时期，因为学生时期可以很放松，感觉非常好，

because all you do is learn and do work and meet deadlines
你要做的就是学习、按规定时间完成任务，

but I think I preferred the working world when you really have the real responsibility,
不过我更喜欢工作环境，那时能体会到真正的责任感，

you really know how things work but of course I'm enjoying my student life as well.
知道要如何处理事情，不过我也很享受我的学生时代。

So for students that are just finishing school or will finish school soon,
那些已经毕业或是即将完成学业的人，

they often have a lot of anxiety and worry about, you know, how they will make it in the real world and will they survive in the real world.
通常都会很焦虑，对现实工作环境感到担心，不确定自己能否在工作环境中生存下去。

What advice or tips would you give them?
你有没有什么建议？

I don't think they should worry that much and really enjoy the experience of the transition.
我认为他们不应该过于担心，而是应该享受这种过渡的经历。

Nothing bad will happen regardless so there's really no reason, it doesn't help to worry
不管怎样都不会发生什么不好的事情，没有什么理由，担心也没有什么用，

so just really the only suggestion I would give is just try your best and try to find the things that you really want to do.
我唯一能给的建议就是尽你最大的努力去寻找你真正喜欢的事情。
