You know, there are a lot of reasons why insects and people are different.

As mammals, humans are vertebrates, that means we have a backbone and all of our bones are on the inside of our bodies.

Insects, on the other hand, are invertebrates, so they don't have a backbone.
而昆虫是无脊椎动物，所以它们没有脊椎。
Instead of bones inside of their bodies, they have bones on the outside called exoskeletons.

Those aren't the only differences. Humans are warm-blooded, while nearly all insects are cold-blooded.

Humans breathe through lungs, while insects breathe through a network of tiny tubes called trachea.
