We have all these history of innovation rationalizes what's happening in all these very, very strange ways.

本次课的主讲人是皮特·泰尔，主要讲解了关于垄断的问题。首先他认为，衡量一个公司的价值有一种方法，即创造X美元的价值，并把其中的Y%把握在自己手中，但X和Y是独立的。其次皮特讲到形成垄断的一个很重要的切入点是进入小的市场，并迅速占领这个市场，因为大的市场竞争非常激烈，所有的价值都在竞争中消耗掉了。最后演讲者还讲到了后发优势的问题，虽然第一个吃螃蟹的人很勇敢，但最重要的是要做笑到最后的人，至少要像Google或者Facebook那样保持很久才行，因此你就必须不断创新，保持竞争力。
