- Notice that there are questions which use "be"

- and questions which use "have got"

- How is he?

- What's he like?
- 他长什么样？
- Has he got a beard?
- 他有胡子吗？
- When we ask questions about the color of eyes and hair
- 当我们问到关于眼睛和头发颜色的问题时
- you will notice that we use different verbs
- 你会发现我们使用了不同的谓语动词
- because the word eyes is a plural noun
- 因为eyes是个复数名词
- which means that there are more than one
- 表示不止一个
- and the word hair is a singular noun
- 头发是单数名词
- What color are her eyes?
- 她的眼睛是什么颜色的？
- What color is her hair?
- 她的头发是什么颜色的？
- Plural nouns must have plural verbs
- 复数名词必须使用复数形式的动词
- Singular nouns must have singular verbs
- 单数名词必须使用单数形式的动词
- When we want to know what a person looks like
- 当我们想知道一个人的长相时
- we're wanting to know about the appearance
- 我们是想了解外貌
- This is different to asking what a person is like
- 当问到某人怎么样时，情况会有所不同
- which suggests we're wanting to know someone's opinion
- 这表示我们希望了解某人在他人的思维
- about how that person thinks or acts
- 以及行为方式方面的意见
- Anna is a happy person
- 安娜是个快乐的人
- Anna is a quiet person
- 安娜是个恬静的人
- Anna is a positive person
- 安娜是个积极乐观的人
- These are all examples of what Anna is like
- 这些都是针对安娜的描述
- Watch how poor Ashley is described in the following dialogue

- Look, how funny he looks today

- What color tie is he wearing?

- The same as ours

- Well, what color are his eyes?
