"Well, let's have a race," said the hare.
那好 我们来比个赛吧 兔子说道
"Let's see who can get to the lake first."
我们看看谁先到湖边
"OK," said the tortoise.
好的 乌龟说道
"I'm going to win!" said the hare, and he ran down the road.
我赢定了 兔子说道 然后沿着马路跑走了
"I'm sure I can win the race."
我确定我能赢得比赛
"Don't be so sure."
别那么肯定
The hare ran and ran. Soon he came to a tall tree.
兔子跑啊跑 很快他来到了一颗大树旁
"Where is the tortoise? I can't see him. He is far behind me," he thought.
乌龟呢 我看不到他了 他掉在后面很远了 他自己说道
Then he went to sleep under the tree.
然后他到树下睡觉
How slow he is! I'm hot and tired.
他真慢 我又热又累
I can have a sleep and win the race, too.
就算我睡一觉 也照样能赢
