First, from the perspective of health, it’s important to control food safety. As an old proverb goes, we are what we eat. Our nutritional status, health, physical and mental faculties depend on the food we eat and how we eat it. Access to good quality food has been man’s main endeavor from the earliest days of human existence. Safety of food is a basic requirement of food quality, which directly influences our health and life safety.Second, from the perspective of economic development, controlling food quality makes economic sense. The value of world food trade is increasing every year, thanks to the development of science andtechnology. Scientific development also allows a better understanding of the nutritional qualities of food and its health implications.This has led consumers to become more discriminating in food matters and to demand protection from inferior quality and unsafe food. Therefore, food safety control is necessary and important in building up consumers’trust and confidence, thus benefiting the economy.
第一，从健康的角度看，控制食品安全是非常重要的。有一句老话说，民以食为天。我们的健康、营养、体质、心理健康等都取决于我们所食用的食品，以及我们如何食用。食用高质量食品一直是我们的追求。食品安全是食品质量的基本要求，这将直接影响到我们的健康和生命。第二，从经济发展的角度上说，监管食品安全有利于经济的发展。全球的食品贸易逐年递增，这要归功于科学和技术的发展。科学发展也能够让我们更好地了解到食品质量以及健康等问题。消费者将更加注重食品问题，他们对低质量食品和不安全食品的警惕性将提高。所以，食品安全是必要的，这对于建立消费者的信任是非常重要的，这也将促进经济的发展。
