The city of Dandong in Liaoning has opened a passport-free and visa-free half-day tourist route to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), according to local authorities.
辽宁省丹东市相关部门近日发布消息称,该市已开通免护照、免签证的赴朝鲜半日游旅游路线。
The route is available only to Chinese citizens from the Chinese mainland. People taking this route need to get an exit-entry permit from their local police security departments with their identity cards.
该路线仅向中国大陆的公民开放。参加半日游的游客需持身份证在丹东公安部门获得出入境通行证。
After being verified by border authorities of North Korea, they can cross the border to enter the country. The whole process can be completed in one day.
