基本概况
The University of International Business and Economics(UIBE)，situated in Chaoyang District of China's capital Beijing，was founded in 1951 as the Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade. In 1960 it was designated as a“key university" by the government for ifs outstanding programs. In May 1997 UIBE was put on the list of“Project 211”universities. In 2000，UIBE had become one of the state universities under the leadership of the Ministry of Education，and in same year it merged with China Institute of Finance and has since then June of the become one of the leaders in the studies of business and finance.
对外经济贸易大学坐落于首都北京朝阳区，创建于1951年，前身是北京外贸学院。1960年以其专业特色被国家列为重点大学。1997年五月成为首批被列人国家高等 教育“211工程”重点建设的高校，2000年转为教育部直 属，同年6月，原中国金融学院与原对外经济贸易大学 合并成立新的对外经济贸易大学，成为经贸类领先高校之一。
UIBE consists of over 14 academic schools，2 direct departments apart from postgraduate department and physical education department. It has 25 undergraduate programs，14 doctoral programs，39 master programs，2 post doctorate stations，2 state key disciplines and 1 state research base of social sciences. Among the over 30 bachelor，master and doctoral programs that UIBE offers，International Trade，International Economic Law，English Language and International Business Management have been designated as key programs under“Project 211”
China's opening-up has provided UIBE with greafi motivafiion and chances. In the past few decades. UIBE has been proud of the performance of its graduates many of them now playing active roles in promoting business and economic cooperation between China and other countries.

1951 Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade the predecessor of the University of International Business and Economics was founded under the administration of the precedessor Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.
