We can get news in many ways:
TV,radio,newspapers,magazines,
and now the Internet.
Let's compare two types of news:
TV news and news on the Internet.
Many people like the news on TV
because you can see and hear real people.
Also,many people prefer TV
because the pictures and the sound are better.
Another advantage is that someone has already
chosen the most important news.
You just sit back and watch.
Of course.the news is on TV
only at certain times,
so it is not as recent as the Internet news.
TV news shows try to be as up-to-date
as possible
but they are not updated ads quickly
as the Internet.
However,some news channels are on TV
all day and so,in this way,
they are the same as Internet websites.
On most TV news programs,they show as and
some people do not like this.
As for news websites,
one big advantage is that
you can see them at any time.
Also ,the information is updated all the time,
so the news is always recent,
You can move from one news site to other sites
with similar information,
On many news sites,
you can send in your comments by e-mail
or you can join in a discussion.
You can even send the page to a friend
by e-mail.
However,a news website is not
as personal as a TV news show.
Also,the sound and video are not so good
as what we can see and hear on TV,
Websites sometimes have short videos
but often these are too large to open.
Some people don't like the ads on websites.
So it is really hard to say which one is better
Personally,
I prefer to check the news on a website.
On average,I look at new websites twice
as often as TV programs.
