The year is almost over.
We are going to talk about "over."
You can never overdo "over." over怎么说也不嫌多。
Something is over:结束、完结,副词
The year is over.
The World Cup is over.
You're late. The party is over.
The movie is going to be over in one hour.
Being over something/someone:
She is totally over him.
He is still not over her.
A: Are you still doing jianzicao? B: No, I'm so over it now.
Get over something/someone:
可以视作前面be over的过程,要先get over,结果才是be over。
He is trying to get over her, but he can't.
She got over him.
A: I'm afraid to speak English in front of other people.
B: You need to try to get over it. / Just get over it.
Get over your fears.
Get over your past.
Get over yourself.
You're too over是错误的。
You're too much.
Over the line
Step over the line
Cross the line
比如:
What he said was really over the line.
You really crossed the line when you lied to me.
