For over 3,000 years, millions of people across the world have been celebrating the arrival of spring every year. From western, central and southern Asia to the Caucasus, the Balkans and other regions, peoples of different cultures, religions and languages have come together to share the values of Nowruz.
3000多年来，世界各地的数百万民众每年都欢庆春天的到来。从西亚、中亚、南亚到高加索、巴尔干和世界其他地区，不同文化、宗教和语言的人们欢聚一堂，共享诺鲁孜节的价值观。
Through dance, poems, songs, meals and other social practices, the celebration of Nowruz is a moment for men and women, boys and girls, to pay their respect to nature and wish for a better future. Since 2009, Nowruz has been inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity as a festivity of rich diversity promoting peace and solidarity across regions and generations.
通过舞蹈、诗歌、歌曲、美食和其他社会习俗，男女老少共同欢庆诺鲁孜节，借此机会表达对自然的尊重以及对未来的美好祝愿。2009年，作为富有多样性、促进地区间与代际间和平与团结的节庆活动，诺鲁孜节被列入教科文组织《人类非物质文化遗产代表名录》。
The famous poet, Rumi, once wrote: "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there." Nowruz is a field where reconciliation and dialogue can take their roots. It is a field where traditions and rituals are passed from generation to generation, to share moments of togetherness, tolerance, harmony and joy.
著名诗人鲁米曾写道："有一片田野，位于是非对错观念之外。我在那里和你相遇。"诺鲁孜节就是一片田野，在这里，和解与对话可以生根发芽，传统与仪式代代相传，人们分享着团聚、宽容、和谐与欢乐的时光。
At a time when violent extremism seeks to destroy diversity and freedoms, Nowruz is a reminder of the power of culture and heritage to build resilient and sustainable societies. It is a source of confidence and belonging for all. This message resonates strongly around the world today at a time when Governments are redoubling efforts to take forward the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Climate Agreement.
在暴利极端主义企图破坏多样性和自由之时，诺鲁孜节提醒我们，文化和遗产具有建设坚韧且可持续社会的力量。它是所有人汲取信心和归属感的源泉。在各国政府加倍努力推进《2030年可持续发展议程》和《巴黎气候协定》的今天，这一讯息更是在全世界产生强烈共鸣。
On this occasion, let us all embrace the values of Nowruz and be inspired by its universal message of peace and solidarity.
